I'm Executive Director of Read Charlotte, a collaborative, community-wide movement to double the percentage of third graders reading on grade level from 40% in 2015 to 80% in 2025.

I like building things that make a difference.

I co-founded a college access program to help hundreds of low-income students go to college. I led a startup team and was a founding board member of an urban college prep charter school. I co-founded a tech startup to make it easier for school leaders to find the right teachers for their schools. I co-founded a tech startup to help college students connect with others on their campus.

I am a follower of the Holstee Manifesto. I believe dumplings are the perfect food, am a fan of Jason Statham movies, and have a serious jones for Mandarin Chinese. (學而時習之,不亦說乎？) I'm crazy about my wife and kids.
